At 245 lbs, I realized I could barely keep up with my son. Having been an active child in multiple sports through primary school and a college baseball player for American River College, I knew that I need to make realistic changes in my life to get back in shape. In nine months I was 60lbs lighter and able to run a marathon. Two months later I nearly qualified for the Boston Marathon. Today, I enjoy playing on competitive soccer leagues and have found a passion in running.
